ECS is seeking a qualified System Administrator (HPC) (Int) to support transformative science and technology solutions for the Department of Energy.
Job Description:
The selected employee shall provide Server System Administrator support and assist customers with server needs, including architecture design and consultations, building, configuring maintaining and troubleshooting physical and virtual servers. Possess the capacity to work independently & effectively while maintaining positive productivity levels. Maintain a positive relationship with fellow peers, cross functional teams and leadership.
Work on independent tasks (e.g., installation, upgrades, troubleshooting) within a team administering HPC systems.
Experience administering Linux operating systems (e.g., RHEL, Debian, Centos, Fedora).
Experience scripting (i.e. shell, python, perl) for system administration tasks.
Familiarity with the HPC ecosystem (e.g., schedulers, filesystems, compiler licenses) is desirable.
Experience with system administration in a clustered environment is desirable.
Required Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field AND two years of related work experience AND one or more System Administrator Certificate or relevant subject matter equivalent certification
OR
Associate's Degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field AND four years of related work experience AND one or more System Administrator Certificate or relevant subject matter equivalent certification
OR
Six years of related work experience AND one or more System Administrator Certificate or relevant subject matter equivalent certification
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret or DOE Q clearance throughout the life of the contract
Must be a US Citizen
Must currently live in Pittsburgh, PA or willing to relocate
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desired Skills:
Active Top Secret or DOE Q Clearance with the ability to maintain clearance throughout the life of the contract.
Two or more years experience supporting US Government customers
Project Management Professional certification
Experience supporting complex government and programs of a research and development nature
Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and/or Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA) certifications
Proficiency with BigFix (Endpoint management)
Proficiency with Antivirus software tools and analysis
Experience administering Linux operating systems (e.g., RHEL, Debian, Centos, Fedora)
