Job Description:

Uwharrie Bank is a $1B community bank, headquartered in Albemarle NC, with office locations in Mecklenburg, Stanly, Anson and Cabarrus counties. Our Rea Road Office commercial team (Charlotte NC) is seeking a SENIOR COMMERCIAL RELATIONSHIP MANAGER to join the team! This individual must possess required qualifications and desire to provide personalized, high-touch customer service and the ability to build and grow commercial relationships to expand Uwharrie's unique brand and mission within the Mecklenburg County and surrounding markets.

The Senior Relationship Manager position is responsible, individually and in a mentoring capacity, for managing a sizeable portfolio of existing commercial banking relationships, originating new financing transactions, and cross-selling the Companys other products and services. This position may mentor and work closely with other senior or junior commercial relationship managers as well as other lending personnel assigned to the pod. Interfaces with other Company associates in order to supply a full range of banking services to customers. Reports to the Market President (or Market Executive) and supports the activities of the entire Commercial Banking Division and the Company.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Knowledge
Bachelors degree from four-year college or university (may be waived in consideration of experience and performance which indicates the individual would be successful in this role).Must have an understanding of all primary areas of banking and regulatory requirements.A general knowledge of loan portfolio administration, operations and support is necessary.Thorough understanding of bank relationship profitability.Thorough understanding of commercial lending, underwriting requirements and financial statement analysis.License(s) to sell securities and other investment/insurance products would be beneficial.

Experience
Experience in working with others as a team is beneficial5-7 years related commercial loan experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in a financial institution with emphasis on lending, credit administration and/or support is required. Graduation from an accredited commercial training program or formal credit training is preferred.Must have experience in managing significant commercial loan portfolios and direct sales experience.Proven track record in consequential commercial loan production year after year.Experience with CRM tool in managing customer relationships would be beneficial.Experience in other areas of financial services would be beneficial.

Skills
Position requires strong marketing and sales development skills as well as management, leadership and team building skills.Strong analytical and negotiating skills are required.Must have the ability to analyze and evaluate financial statements and properly structure credits to assure proper risk assessment including pricing for the risk taken.Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.Superior quantitative/analytical and oral/written skills.Individual needs to be a self-starter and continuous learner.
