Uwharrie Bank is a $1B community bank, headquartered in Albemarle NC, with office locations in Mecklenburg, Stanly, Anson and Cabarrus counties. Our Rea Road Office commercial team (Charlotte NC) is seeking a commercial relationship manager to join the team! This individual must possess required qualifications and desire to provide personalized, high-touch customer service and the ability to build and grow commercial relationships to expand Uwharrie's unique brand and mission within the Mecklenburg County and surrounding markets.

Responsibilities include developing and managing commercial customer relationships in accordance with established policies and procedures. Reviews loan applications and supporting documentation for accuracy and disposition. Approves commercial loan requests within pre-determined authority. Participates in new business development programs and in commercial account administration in a full relationship environment.

Knowledge: A four-year degree in business or a related subject, or a combination of education and experience, is preferred. A general knowledge of loan administration, operations and support is required and a thorough understanding of all areas of banking is highly preferred. License(s) to sell securities and other investment/insurance products, with an understanding of investment and insurance regulatory requirements, is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of three to five years experience in a financial institution with emphasis on lending, loan operations and support is required. Graduation from an accredited commercial training program is preferred. Experience in managing commercial loan portfolios in a community banking environment, is preferred. Experience in other areas of financial services would be beneficial.

Skills: Strong analytical and negotiating skills are required. The ability to analyze and evaluate financial statements to assure proper net interest rate margins, is preferred. Well-refined human relations and sales skills are critical in dealing with customers and prospective customers.

ADA Requirements: Vision, hearing, speech, concentration, learning, thinking, interaction with others, the ability to exercise self-control, the ability to work under stressful conditions, particularly in customer and employee relations are necessary. Must have a valid North Carolina driver's license.
