Position: Senior Data Scientist
Job Location: 680 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086
Duties: Build data science and machine learning models with Python to solve concrete business problems. Responsible for full modeling cycle including data preparation, data profiling, building models, evaluating model performance, drafting documentation, performing quality control procedures, monitoring model performance, contributing to white papers, and visualizing and presenting to the business audience the practical implications of the results. Conduct high quality analytics, including developing leading practices for all phases of the analytics development cycle such as conceptualizing the analysis, determining data requirements, identifying and solving issues, and reporting and clearly communicating results. Communicate progress, barriers, risks, and benefits to team members. Collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver business impact. Deploy machine learning models in production environment and perform regression tests.
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any), or related field and 1 year of experience in an analytics related field; OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any), or related field and 3 years of experience in an analytics related field.
Skills required: Experience performing data analysis on large scale data with Python or R. Experience performing data ETL with BigQuery. Experience building advanced machine learning models with Python. Experience selecting or building appropriate models and tuning model parameters. Demonstrated knowledge of statistics and mathematics. Experience monitoring product performance with automated alerts and dashboard visualizations. Experience researching and reviewing literature within machine learning and optimization. Experience translating and communicating technical solutions to business stakeholders. Experience deploying models into the production environment. Employer will accept any amount of graduate coursework, graduate research experience or professional experience with the required skills.
Salary Range: $138,911/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
