As Event Manager, you will oversee event documentation and coordination with Sales, hotel departments, and customers to ensure consistent, high-level service throughout the pre-event, event, and post-event phases of all hotel events. You will be the primary contact for clients, ensuring seamless turnover from Sales to Event Services and back to Sales, while identifying opportunities to enhance revenue through upselling and event customization.

What will I be doing?
AsEvent Manager for Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista and Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace, you will ensure seamless event planning and execution, acting as the primary liaison between clients, Sales, and hotel departments. Your role is to deliver a memorable experience for guests by maintaining high standards of service and coordination across all event phases.

Position Summary:


  • Organize and Plan: Develop plans and goals for each event, ensuring all details are organized and prioritized.
  • Client Communication: Communicate promptly with internal and external clients via phone, email, and in-person to manage expectations and build strong client relationships.
  • Relationship Building: Create and maintain effective relationships with clients, setting and meeting their expectations to deliver a successful event experience.
  • Systems and Processes Knowledge: Demonstrate expertise in job systems, products, and processes to ensure smooth event management.
  • Conflict Resolution: Resolve conflicts and manage complaints effectively, negotiating and handling any issues that may arise.
  • Sales and Influence: Identify opportunities to upsell and influence clients to enhance the event experience and boost hotel revenue.
  • Problem Solving: Make informed decisions and solve problems by evaluating options to find the best solution for both the hotel and the client.
  • Quality Service: Ensure high-quality service by aligning with guest needs, providing direction, guidance, feedback, and coaching where necessary.
  • Sales Support: Participate in customer site inspections, supporting the sales process as needed to secure new business.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as required based on the needs of the business.
  • Attendance: Maintain regular attendance to ensure consistent communication and event oversight.

What are we looking for?

• Minimum Years of Experience: one (1) year Hospitality related experience at manager level.

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
• Knowledge of the hotel property management systems (Delphi.fdc)
• Relevant degree, in business development or other relevant business field, from an academic institution (CMP, CPCE)
