Wood is looking for a HSE Manager for are office in Clute, TX. The HSE Manager will lead and direct the HSE department, focusing on hiring and training qualified personnel, engaging staff on projects, and enhancing departmental work processes and procedures. This role ensures compliance with HSE Management Systems, Customer Safety Policies, and governmental regulations by overseeing the development and execution of safety procedures and plans. The HSE Manager will also support business development and proposals, promote HSE best practices, and ensure relevant training for office and project needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

Hold periodic meetings with department staff to ensure effective communication of company information.
Support Business Development and Proposals departments.
Monitor and ensure compliance with HSE Management Systems.
Ensure adherence to audit protocols and promote HSE best practices in the office and on projects.
Develop HSE project and department safe work plans.
Support HSE presentation needs for internal and external clients.
Ensure HSE-related training is relevant to office and project needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications:
Degree qualified in a relevant discipline.
ISO 9001:2008 Lead Auditor Qualified.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
8+ years of HSE experience.
Knowledge of HSE standards and legal requirements.
Experience in managing a Quality and HSE Management system environment.
Supervisory or direct management experience of junior staff.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
Confident self-starter capable of working independently.
Knowledge of internal and external audits and third-party certification audit practices.
