Process Development Co-Op Ideal Candidate Profile
If you are a motivated, energetic, and creative person looking to start a career in Packaging/Process Engineering, QTS wants you as our Process Development Co-Op student. This position works under immediate supervision of the Engineering Manager to balance the requirements of Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, and Quality in a cost-effective and time conscious manner. The co-op student will assist the Process Development department with projects from scope definition through implementation. This position will be located in Bloomington, MN. The co-op would be working 40 hours/week, June - December 2025.
Process Development Co-Op Job Summary
Provide internal customer technical support
Part manufacturability technical support
Assist with the implementation of process and design improvements
Partners with the other business segments: sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance as needed
Understands customer needs and the core business markets we serve
Supports and complies with the company's Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements
Completes all other work duties as assigned
Qualifications
Process Development Co-Op Skills and Experience
Enrollment in a four-year degree program for Packaging, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and ERP and other business-related systems
Ability to work with CAD and design software
Solid mechanical aptitude and experience with simple electro-mechanical systems
Have strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and team building skills to create effective working relationships with suppliers, and coworkers
Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks when needed
Good attention to detail
Strong problem-solving skills
