(Contingent upon available funding): 0.00 - 0.00, Commensurate with education and experience Work Schedule: Variable Faculty Appt Period: 12 months or less Job Summary: The Dr. Lin Liu group (https://experts.okstate.edu/lin.liu) in the Oklahoma Center for Respiratory and Infectious Diseases (https://ocrid.okstate.edu/) and the Department of Physiological Sciences with Oklahoma State University's College of Veterinary Medicine invites applications for postdoctoral research fellow and PhD student positions in the field of respiratory and infectious diseases.Dr. Liu's research programs focus on host-pathogen interactions during respiratory infections including SARS-CoV-2, influenza virus, and Mycobacterium tuberculosis; pathogenesis of pulmonary diseases such as idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases (COPD); and stem cell-based therapy and lung tissue engineering.The successful candidates will work in well-established BSL2/3 and ABSL2/3 facilities with a multidisciplinary team at Oklahoma State University. The lab uses various animal models and advanced technologies such as single-cell RNA-seq, spatial gene profiling, and genome-wide CRISPR library screen etc. Dr. Liu's lab is well funded by NIH and other funding agencies. Required Qualifications:
Ph.D./ Ed.D. in Physiology or related field
A background in microRNA/LncRNA-influenza virus interactions, and/or engineering stem cells with non-coding RNAs for treating lung diseases. Also, a background in lung diseases, influenza virus and/or stem cells is a plus.
