Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Duties: This is a position for Research Specialist B, with a purpose to bridge laboratory research with clinical science to investigate the pathogenesis of neurodevelopmental and neuropsychiatric disorders. The primary function of this position includes management of mouse colonies; intracranial injections of viral vectors and compounds into rodent models with stereotaxis; behavioral assessment of experimental animals; and functional assessment of treatments using confocal imaging and electroencephalography (EEG) recordings. Other duties include assistance with PI in preparation of animal protocols, research publications, and grant applications, as well as performing research using molecular and cellular techniques such as cryosection and Western blot.
Qualifications: Successful candidates are expected to have at least a Bachelor's degree and 1 year to 3 years of experience in Cell and Molecular Biology or Neuroscience field or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Research experience which includes at least one year of experience working with mouse models preferred.
