Job Description:

The Credentialing Coordinator coordinates, monitors, and maintains the credentialing, recredentialing, and privileging process for all health care providers who provide direct patient care at Vancouver Clinic (VC).

Schedule: Mon - Fri 8am to 5pm. Will train on site until competencies are met. (WA and OR residents only).

Hiring range: $26.70/hr to $35/hr, actual rate commensurate with experience and professional certification.

Facilitates all aspects of credentialing and privileging at hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, patient care facilities, and health plans. Enters and maintains accurate and up-to-date data for each health care provider in credentialing databases of the Vancouver Clinic. Tracks licenses and certifications of all providers to ensure timely renewals. Assists in compliance with regulatory agency requirements, including but not limited to, National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the Joint Commission, and the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) in regards to credentialing and privileging and maintains a working knowledge of the laws and regulations of these entities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Minimum of three years' experience in Clinic, Health Plan, or Hospital Medical Staff Office with responsibility for credentialing, hospital appointment and privileging, private and government health plan enrollment, and re-appointment processes.

  • Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist or Certified Professional Medical Services Management certification preferred.

  • Experience with NCQA and AAAHC guidelines preferred.

  • Experience updating/maintaining a credentialing database system.

  • Experience with and awareness of demands facing clinicians and allied health providers in the credentialing and privileging process.

Pay Range:
$26.15 - $36.61

PTO and Personal Time accruals are pro-rated by FTE/hours worked. Non-benefits eligible employees will accrue Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked.
