Job Description:


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data Modeler (SAP PowerDesigner) in Boston, MA.

Key Tasks:


  • Data Modeler will engage with business and technology partners to understand the business requirements, analyze the data gaps, and recommend appropriate solutions

  • Assess objectives, use cases, data requirements and specifications documents created by other analysts

  • Analyze and resolve major data issues that arise during the course of projects or in production environments

Data Design:

  • Define conceptual and logical data models, with strong definitions, to capture organizational data needs across multiple subject areas

  • Build physical design for various types of systems such as operational systems, data warehouses, data lakes and others

  • Actively perform dedicated and targeted data analysis to identify risks for management; Strong coordination with key business partners will be required to obtain data sets and confirm results of the analysis

  • Document database solutions and present solutions to product partners, project teams, Data Engineering team and architecture review boards

  • Lead and facilitate work sessions with business functions and projects to define requirements, business term definitions and logical data models

  • Map Technical terms to Business terms in data catalog tool







REQUIREMENTS:



  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience

  • 10+ years of experience with data design, analysis, and development; Development experience weighted towards PL/SQL and ETL tools

  • Demonstrated experience in the following areas: Database Management Systems, Data API design and implementation, PL/SQL, warehouses, data modeling and data profiling

  • Demonstrable experience with SAP Power Designer or similar data modeling tool required

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Advanced understanding of the database development process including analysis, design, coding, testing, problem resolution and planning, and full competency in all relevant coding environments, languages, tools, and platforms

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and strong verbal and written skills to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical associates in the company

  • Proven interpersonal skills, including the ability to work across the organization and interact/influence/negotiate optimally at all levels of management and peers

  • Experience in working in data management/governance with an understanding on how data is ingested, stored, and maintained

  • Understanding of principles and standard methodologies around Data Architecture

  • Ability to prioritize data analysis initiatives based on business criticality

  • Passionate about technology and delivering solutions in integrated data environments; Current on event driven processing, and Data API developments

  • Experience in the financial services industry area a plus

  • Knowledge in cryptocurrency area a plus






The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.



We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
