Matrix Providers has a civilian opportunity for Family Practice Physician to provide full-time care to the U.S. military and their families at the Joint Base San Antonio- Randolph Clinic in San Antonio, TX. The Government will accept any state license.
Compensation: $165 to $180/Hour | $30,000 Retention Bonus
Start Date: Pending clinical privileges/security clearance, which can take 6-8 weeks.
Period of Performance: Current contract ends September 2027, with possible contract renewal.
Relocation Assistance
Schedule: Normal clinic hours are 7:30am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. Approximately 1 week per month, the contractor may work late clinic on Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30am to 6:30pm, to include 1-hour non-paid lunch each day.
Malpractice coverage is provided to the physician.
Requirements: The Physicianmust have and meet the following:
Degree: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.). Must have graduated from an accredited medical school in the United States or Canada. This degree must have been accredited by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association; Association of American Medical Colleges; Liaison Committee on Medical Education; Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation of the American Osteopathic Association, or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) at the time the degree was obtained (e.g. Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC), College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC).
Internship/Residency: Successful completion of an internship and residency program corresponding to Family Medicine. which has been approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education or the Committee on Postdoctoral Training of the American Osteopathic Association. Subsequent to obtaining a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree, a candidate must have had at least 1 year of supervised experience providing direct service in a clinical setting (i.e., a 1-year internship or the first year of a residency program in a hospital or an institution accredited for such training).
Certifications: Shall have and maintain a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
Experience: Demonstrate clinical competency within the past two years in Family Medicine. In addition to all other requirements, experience must include at least 32 hours of patient treatment within the specialty in the last 24 months.
Board Certification: Board certification required. Current board certification by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) or the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians (AOBFP).
Licensure/Registration: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice medicine. Must have graduated with a medical degree from an accredited residency in Family Medicine.
Job Summary:
Perform a full range of physician services by privileges granted by the Medical Treatment Facility.
Direct, perform or assist in the instruction of other health care professionals within the scope of the clinical privileges or responsibilities.
Examine, diagnose, treat or prescribe courses of treatment within the scope of training, experience, and privileges.
Provide preventive and health maintenance care, including annual physicals, positive health behaviors, and self-care skills through education and counseling.
Order diagnostic tests as applicable and request consultation or referral with appropriate physicians, clinics, or other health resources as indicated.
Technically proficient in directing and teaching other medical staff, providing educational lectures, and providing in-service training to clinic staff members. Such direction and interaction will adhere to Government and professional clinical standards and accepted clinical protocols.
