Responsible for the analysis, design, and delivery of data extracts, data visualization, analysis, and reporting solutions for MGBHP. Member of Reporting and Analysis team that will represent MGBHP Reporting and Data Management activities on all core Health Plan systems including QNXT, ODS and Enterprise Datawarehouse.
Responsible for supporting the end user community in the use of self-service reporting tools, PowerBI dashboards, the development and support of operational and regulatory reporting in Medicare and Medicaid lines of business, and management of periodic system upgrades and enhancements.
Works closely with Cognizant to ensure seemless core systems (QNXT) information architecture with minimal impact on business partners and processes. Communicates upgrade/enhancement details to key business partners, and escalation of issues when necessary. Works with key business customers and data users to define critical information needs, providing guidance regarding availability of data, capability of systems to meet information needs, and subject matter expertise regarding current systems and emerging reporting tools.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Information Management Developer
Leads analysis, design, development, and testing of operational and regulatory reporting for Medicare and Medicaid lines of business.
Produces data sets for end users and or regulatory entities.
Produces data reconciliation between various data sources to ensure regulatory compliance.
Extracts and collects data for performing queries and writing reports.
Reviews queries for performance issues, making changes as needed.
Adheres to IT developments standards and best practices.
Works jointly with direct manager to develop approaches in support of the business partner's information needs.
QNXT Upgrade Lead
• Communicates data model changes and enhancements to MGBHP business partners and IT Management and staff.
• Consults with Cognizant and MGBHP IT Management and staff throughout the upgrade life-cycle.
• Works closely with Cognizant to provide full technical support to MGBHP IT and MGBHP Business Partners on all QNXT Upgrades.
• Ensures all reporting and data management activities are documented and completed on all monthly/quarterly upgrades.
• Provides input into the creation of test plans and scripts.
• Helps to organize and coordinate periodic regulatory reporting activities.
• Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and resolves issues related to Core systems and EDW enhancement activities.
• Documents, tracks, and monitors issues to ensure timely resolution.
• Manages escalation of issues that are high impact or not getting resolved in a timely manner.
Communication and Teamwork
Works collaboratively with other IT groups to ensure solid cross-functional decisions are made as a team.
Develops collaborative working relationships with all business partners / departments.
Coordinates with infrastructure to ensure smooth operations and business results.
Represents reporting at change control and ensures that all scheduled releases have gone through an adequate test process and are documented before going to change control.
Meets regularly with direct manager to escalate issues, report status of requests and identify opportunities for improvements.
Works as a team player to plan and meet deadlines while promoting a positive work environment.

Builds relationships with the business customers by spending time with them to understand their business and the challenges they face and recommends solutions to their immediate needs.

Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent regulatory reporting experience for Medicaid and Medicare Advantage.
5-7 years of Business Intelligence, decision support, regulatory reporting and analysis experience.
Preferred/Desired:
Medicaid or Medicare Advantage experience
Expert in Microsoft BI tools including but not limited to SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, PowerBI, SQL Server and stored procedures etc.
Must be proficient in writing stored procedures.
Expert in QNXT and QNXT reporting policies and procedures.
Considered an expert in the reporting & analysis areas, including self-service reporting tools such as SSRS and PowerBI.
Possess knowledge of the business and business processes. Understands how analytical needs support business processes and proactively apply this knowledge to solve business problems.
Possess skills and knowledge in process and data modeling, architectural development methodologies, and IT planning methodologies.
Possess deep knowledge of all aspects of the system development life cycle.
Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist - Business Intelligence - highly desirable.
Proven problem solver
Technical leader with experience in Operational and Analytical Reporting.
A working knowledge of Data Warehouse methodologies.
Familiarity with Agile and Scrum development methodologies.
Experience in software development life cycle methodologies.
Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively with all business units.
