What You Will Do: The Senior Manager of Government Pricing is responsible for overseeing all government pricing calculations professional services activities for pharmaceutical companies. This role involves managing the comprehensive review, validation, and reconciliation of customer transactions to ensure accurate government pricing calculations. Key responsibilities include overseeing compliance with pricing requirements across multiple Federal Drug Programs, such as Average Manufacturer Price (AMP), Best Price (BP), Unit Rebate Amount (URA), Public Health Services (PHS), Average Sales Price (ASP), Non-Federal Average Manufacturer Price (NFAMP), Federal Ceiling Price (FCP), and Industrial Funding Fee (IFF).
In addition to overseeing day-to-day operations, the Senior Manager provides expert customer support through meetings or email exchanges. The Senior Manager leads a dedicated team in ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements while continuously improving processes to deliver high-quality results to customers. The Senior Manager oversees complex projects that require significant management and coordination.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide guidance and education to customers on all aspects of government pricing calculations
• Ensure full compliance with government programs like Medicaid, VA/DOD, and 340B. The Senior Manager will manage accurate pricing reports (AMP, BP, ASP, NFAMP, and 340B pricing) in accordance with statutory pricing, regulations, and policies
• Lead efforts in implementing and upgrading GP modules in revenue management system to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with internal teams such as commercial, Medicaid and product teams overseeing improvements government pricing calculation reporting assessing the financial impact of pricing and contracting strategies on government pricing calculations and compliance
• Supervise and train staff on government pricing regulations, ensuring the team is well-versed in regulatory compliance and efficient in their processes. Lead efforts to mentor the team on handling complex government pricing scenarios
• Contribute to fostering a culture of growth, while enhancing efficiencies and building trust with both staff and customers
Experience/Knowledge/Competencies You Will Need:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in government pricing, reimbursement, or related pharmaceutical industry functions.
• Strong understanding of government pricing programs and regulations, including Medicaid Drug Rebate Program, 340B, and Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) contracting.
• Proven experience managing pricing calculations, submissions, and compliance with CMS, HRSA, and VA requirements.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally across legal, finance, and commercial departments.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
