Job Title: Personnel Security Vetting and Processing Administrative Support

Department: Operations – Services

Reports To: RavenTek Program Manager

Location: Washington DC

Schedule: Monday – Friday

Hours: Temporary Full-time, 40-hours/week

FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-exempt

Clearance: TS/SCI


Position Summary

The Personnel Security Vetting and Processing Administrative Support position will deliver operational and transitional support to a government client, assisting the Transition Team in advancing the program's mission. This role is vital to RavenTek's success on the contract and reflects its commitment to supporting the government customer.

Requirements:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Input data into and assist in maintaining an up-to-date database of personnel security clearances.
  • Produce regular reports on the status of security clearance and background check applications.
  • Complete comprehensive background investigation reports within specified timelines.
  • Ensure that standard security procedures and guidelines are followed.
  • Provide administrative support for personnel security processing, including data entry and document management.
  • Assist in the coordination and scheduling of security briefings and training sessions.
  • Ensure all personnel files are complete and compliant with security processes and protocols.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, component stakeholders, and third-parties to gather necessary documentation for security clearances and background checks.
  • Conduct background checks and risk assessments for personnel requiring security clearances and background checks.
  • Ensure security protocols protecting sensitive information are followed and adhered to.
  • Evaluate the risk level associated with different positions and recommend appropriate security measures.
  • Provide updates on personnel security issues and participate in security audits.
  • Enter actual time worked, once complete, at the end of the day, or no later than 10:00 a.m. the following workday, and submit timesheets at the end of each pay period.
  • Submit Status Reports as required by manager by deadline provided.
  • Monitor RavenTek email on a regular basis, at least 3 times per week, and respond accordingly.
  • Complete required compliance training as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Critical Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to communicate complex information clearly and professionally, required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, required.
  • Familiarity with government or agency security protocols, regulations, and clearance processes preferred.

Education & Work Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a similar role.
  • Prior experience in personnel security administration or in a highly regulated environment preferred.

  • N/A

Special Requirements

  • TS/SCI clearance required.

Work Environment

Employees will be working indoors in an office environment with other people. The essential duties of this job are performed indoors and potentially outdoors and may require exposure to adverse environmental conditions such as extreme weather, extreme temperature and noise fluctuations, dust, vibrations, machinery, and hazardous materials.


Physical Demands

To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, the employee needs to be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; see to read printed materials and computer screens; mobility to work in a typical office setting. Ability to work on desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and may be required to provide recommendations, summaries and/or reports in written format. Must be able to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing. Employee must be able to lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically up to 30 pounds. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.?
