What you will do
The Calibration Technician 3 is responsible for performing all responsibility necessary to trouble shoot, service, adjust, repair and maintain related equipment supporting plant facility. The calibration technician 3 performs a variety of tasks included but not limited to monitoring and adjustment of calibrations equipment to improve production throughput, equipment efficiency, implementation of corrective action, and calibration.
Key Responsibilities
• Provides principal level metrology technician support for a diverse collection of equipment used in manufacturing and lab areas
• Provides technical system support with respect to software application, development in support of the calibration and metrology effort.
• Attend GMP training on the schedule designated for my role and as appropriate for my role
• Work with the team to ensure all aspects of the business remain compliant and in an audit ready state
• Performs the final checks calibration equipment as indicated in the preventative maintenance procedure and standard operating procedure. Communicate Weekly Maintenance Plan
• Perform a combination of manual tasks including but not limited to sorting, inspecting, assembling, and mechanical servicing. Accurately complete paperwork and electronic transactions for all documentation requirements including but not limited to CMMS transactions, paper and electronic logbooks.
• Lead/partner with Engineering for equipment installation, setup-up and start-up. Perform and document equipment repairs as per standard operating procedure directives.
• Startup and shutdown equipment as per procedures to ensure proper operation. Partner with equipment owners to gain alignment on the maintenance schedule and optimize equipment availability for normal production as well as project work and shutdowns. Ability to plan scope of work, execute plan and direct others
• Follow Environmental Health and Safety procedures during startup, shutdown, trouble shooting, and operation of equipment.
• Able to order and receive material and perform the required identification and use (i.e. RFI system and basic CMMS). Partner with buyer to have schedule meet parts supply availability
• Operate manual and motorized pallet jacks. Maintain proper inventory levels of clean tools including ancillary equipment, pallets and containers. Manage the removal of waste, collection of materials for recycle, and execute equipment cleaning and housekeeping operations in accordance with policies and procedures.
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
• Certification in Instrumentation, Machinist, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics from a Technical School or equivalent relevant industry experience.
• Minimum of 4 years experience in a regulated and automated manufacturing environment, Pharmaceutical/GMP experience preferred.
• Candidates must be able to meet the physical demand of the role, continuous lifting, and/or moving from 5-25lbs
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Desired Qualifications
• Knowledge of Production Automation Systems (i.e. Wonderware, MES, SAP, CMMS
• Knowledge of Maximo
