Enhanced Veterans Solutions, Inc. is seeking a full-time Senior Systems Engineer for on-site work at the NAVWAR complex in San Diego.
In addition to the qualifications below, you must be a US Citizen and have an active Secret Security Clearance to be considered for an interview.
The Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for assisting the Principal Assistant Program Manager with special projects. Reviewing technical deliverables from industry partners. Coordinate with finance, contracting, cybersecurity, and other engineering groups.
Review technical deliverables (drawings, test data, and interface documents), for accuracy, completeness, compliance with the Statement of Work, and best engineering practices
10+ years of Proven System Engineering experience
Underwater acoustic knowledge
Proven Experience overseeing and executing the design of complex systems
Identify and manage risks and issues including the development of mitigation strategies
Participate in the bi-weekly government meetings.
Updating technical policies such as the local Systems Engineering Plan, the Technical Review Process and Procedures, or drafting a Program Protection Plan.
Read and respond to all emails calling for Systems Engineer action.
Have access to the Navy/Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI).
Present at the Quarterly Status Review (QSR) for our key performers.
Occasional travel to a vendor's production facility (approximately 3 times annually).
US Navy acquisition program office experience a plus
Development and verification of System Performance Specifications
Observe factory acceptance tests
CONUS travel - approximately 3 times a year
Requirements:
Active Secret clearance
Education: Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Operations Research, Mathematics, Physics, or Business Administration (Bachelor's Degree and four additional years of relevant work experience may be substituted)
10 years of relevant experience
Possess NMCI accounts
Must be able to comprehend complex technical matters and formulate recommendations or decide the appropriate actions.
Ability to be part of an acquisition program office - heavily focused on documentation in various forms from the vendors under contract to design, test, and deliver systems to the Naval Sea Systems Command
A working knowledge of contracts, Navy funding, and Naval terminology
