Summary of Responsibility:

The Accounting Manager will coordinate financial reporting and deliver operational support to the finance team. This role will use accounting expertise to improve efficiency and optimize resources across the organization. Key responsibilities include applying accounting principles to develop systems, analyzing data, recommending improvements, and implementing approved recommendations - all while maintaining a dedication to quality and customer satisfaction!
What You Will Contribute:


    • Responsible for the preparation and analysis of financial reports, cost reports, and corporate reporting packages as part of the month end closing process.
    • Manage the day-to-day operations of the General Ledger and Accounts Payable sub-departments.
    • Assist in the Data Migration and implementation of new ERP Systems.
    • Cross Divisional and Departmental Revenue, Cost and budget to actual Analysis.
    • Sub-Ledger Reconciliations, including, but not limited to: Cash, AR, AP, Advance Billings, Inventory, Return to Vendor, Fixed Assets, Lease Accounting and Inventory Accruals.
    • Assist with the analysis and preparation of the Monthly Executive Reporting Package.
    • Calculate and process monthly sales tax reporting to all states we report into.
    • Procurement Cards Expense Validation and Administration.
    • Support the operational reconciliation and audit of owned inventory.
    • Analyze various audits, prepares/reviews reports and communicates recommendations to management based on reports analysis.
    • Ensure upper management receives timely updates on activity, goals, performance, and any departmental needs.
    • Implement all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensure that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
    • Participate in meetings, seminars, and training sessions to stay apprised of new developments in field.

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Possess a BA/BS or 5+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

  • Established knowledge and experience in crafting journal entries and analyzing data.

  • Experienced in optimally managing workload, prioritizing tasks and applying critical thinking skills.

  • Proven track record of verbal and written proficiency with strong collaborative abilities.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel is required - manipulation to include VLookup, HLookup, Pivot Tables, Index-Match, IF Functions (SUMIF, COUNTIF), Concatenate, Data Validation, MACROs, etc.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other related business programs as the need arises.

  • Knowledge of accounting systems; ability to learn various processes relating to accounting systems.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals and groups, both professional and non-professional, co-workers, management personnel, the public and others.
