Your Role
The Director of DSP Innovation is a visionary leader charged with steering the organization's creative engine and fostering a culture of curiosity and forward-thinking within DSP organization. This role involves identifying emerging trends, developing strategic innovation roadmap, integrating cutting-edge solutions and driving the implementation of new/disruptive technologies and processes to maintain a competitive edge. The Director of DSP Innovation acts as a catalyst for change, bridging the gap between abstract ideas and practical implementation, while also ensuring alignment with the PS overarching goals. The role is crucial in driving growth and efficiency by encouraging a continuous flow of innovative ideas and translating them into profitable business impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Leading the development and execution of the DSP innovation strategy to drive growth and competitive advantage.
Identifying and analyzing new technologies, market trends, and industry insights to inform innovation opportunities.
Building in close collaboration with DSP business owner a balanced innovation portfolio, including incremental improvements and breakthrough initiatives
Facilitating collaboration across PS franchises to ensure the integration of innovative solutions into the PS product and service portfolio across targeted modalities.
Establishing an innovation framework or process that encourages creative thinking and drives the generation of new ideas within DSP.
Overseeing the innovation pipeline, ensuring a steady flow of projects from ideation to implementation
Engaging with internal and external partners, such as startups, research institutions, and other stakeholders, to source and implement novel solutions.
Championing a culture of innovation within the DSP organization by promoting risk-taking and learning from failure
Securing funding and resources for innovation projects, including presenting business cases to stakeholders and PS leadership
Measuring and reporting on the impact of innovation initiatives, including performance metrics and ROI
Mentoring and developing team members to build a strong, cross-functional team capable of executing the innovation agenda.
Staying abreast of process, regulatory and industry developments that could impact the innovation process or the adoption of new technologies
Who You Are
Mnimum Qualifications:
Master's or PhD in Science
Scientific background with strong knowledge of Biopharmaceutical Process.
10+ years' experience in either a professional expert or managerial role
Strong understanding of Downstream process and its evolution.
Proven experience developing and improving Biopharmaceutical Process
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven track record of building and developing successful Innovation strategy and roadmap.
Strong analytical skills, including the ability to build and interpret business and market data.
Ability to collaborate and lead within a complex international network of functions andstakeholders (Commercial, R&D, BD, Business Field, Quality, Customers)
Ability to travel internationally (up to 20%)
Strong Preference to MA location
