Location:



The Technical Customer Consultant Coatings is a remote position within the United State with preferred location in Philadelphia, PA. Domestic and international travel is required to support business needs.



Your Role:



As a Technical Customer Consultant - Coatings, you will undertake several key responsibilities that are essential to our customer support strategy. You will deliver expert technical assistance to both domestic and international key accounts, effectively addressing and resolving technical issues. In collaboration with global and local account managers, you will develop and implement customer collaboration strategies, coordinate customer-related projects with internal stakeholders, including application technology labs, and organize training sessions on products and their applications for key account customers and account managers. Your role will also involve stakeholder engagement, where you will provide technical insights during internal decision-making processes by leveraging feedback from customer interactions (Voice of Customer) and monitoring technical trends in relevant market segments. Additionally, you will contribute to internal projects and participate in strategic development initiatives as needed. You will be responsible for creating presentations, articles, and demonstration materials that effectively showcase products and support the launch of new offerings tailored to specific market segments and customer needs. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong communication skills to successfully meet customer needs and drive business success.



Who you are:




Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in science or engineering (preferred physics, material scientist in chemistry or chemical engineering); advanced degrees are a plus.

  • 5+ years working experiences in pigments, coatings applications, paint formulations.

  • Ability to visually observe and differentiate surface appearances, textures, and colors.

  • Requires 25% domestic and international travel to meet business needs.




Preferred Qualifications:



  • Knowledgeable in pigment technologies and their applications within coatings industry.

  • Strong customer engagement skills, with the ability to prioritize customer interests and discuss technical topics confidently with stakeholders in customer organizations.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of interfacing with diverse individuals in global environments.

  • Proficient in creating professional documents and presentations, with a passion for delivering engaging presentations to customers and peers in small or large group settings.

  • Proficiency in foreign languages, particularly German, is highly desirable.
