Responsibilities
Production laborer duties include, but are not limited to: General cleanup, removal of wood waste and debris, pulling and sorting graded lumber from moving conveyor, relieving operators as needed. A variety of tools are used such as shovel, air hose, brooms/rakes, and wheel barrel.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications: Steady work history. Must be able to continuously stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, stoop, twist, climb, and reach above shoulders safely. The weight required to be lifted each normal workday may occasionally exceed fifty (50) pounds at a time. Must be able to successfully pass a UA drug screen, pre-employment physical, and criminal background check.
Preferred Qualifications: Steady work history in a production environment.
Shift Work: May be any shift depending upon the needs of the mill. Sawmill production is Mon-Fri days or swing; Planer production is four 10’s on days (Mon-Thurs), swing (Tues – Fri) or rotate ( Fri & Sat day shift, and Sun & Mon swing shift.) Cleanup/Security will include graveyard and weekends.
