Job Description
As the EMC Lab Manager with a strong background in RF/EMC testing, you will manage the EMC department performing compliance testing and certifications.

Manage EMC and RF testing including operation of test equipment, calibration in accordance with Regulatory Standards and requirements
Conduct commercial emissions and immunity testing per the applicable requirements
Provide technical leadership for the lab
Check technical records, perform data analysis, and review laboratory reports.
Create client deliverables in the form of test reports, letter reports, and certification reports
Routine operation, maintenance, calibration, qualification, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment and instruments
Lead the development, writing, review, and validation of test methods, laboratory SOPs, and other department-level operating and quality documents
Lead investigation of, response to, and follow-up of client inquiries and complaints
Coordinate with laboratory engineers, technicians, and/or assistants on sample receiving, logging, pre-treatment, preparation, testing, and other tasks
Conduct multiple projects within tight deadlines
Collaborate with sales teams, account managers and interface with clients.
Train and mentor others
Implement globally harmonized methods from other SGS C&P laboratories.
Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures
Perform other related duties and assignments as required
Qualifications
Bachelor's in Engineering or related STEM discipline
5+ years of working in an Engineering Laboratory
1-3 years of supervisory experience
Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering (Preferred)
Expert and hands-on knowledge of Federal Communications Commission (FCC) testing; European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) testing; Ministry of Internal Affairs and Comm Japan (MIC) testing; Innovation Science & Economic Development Canada (ISED) testing; Dynamic Frequency Selection (DFS) testing; Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) testing
Expert and demonstrable knowledge using test equipment such as EMI Receivers, Spectrum Analyzer, Anechoic Chambers, Antennas, etc.
Knowledge of compliance testing of products including but not limited to 2G/3G/4G/5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth radios
Direct/Hands-on regulatory compliance experience is mandatory
High level of written and verbal English
Able to travel an average of 5% including travel outside the US
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, good team spirit, and adaptability
Foster inter-departmental teamwork and be able to work across multiple cultures
Work independently and with limited supervision
Ability to maintain a service-oriented mindset
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
