Job Description:





Under the general supervision of the IT Manager, the Merger Workstation Engineer will be responsible for the operation and administration of the tools required to deliver applications and operating systems to workstations that are part of M&A activity.



Responsibilities:



1. Package and deploy patches, applications, and operating systems to new M&A workstations utilizing Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)


  • Create and maintain the standard image and imaging process for efficient and effective deployment of hardware across the organization.

  • Understand the needs of incoming organizations and deploy applications appropriately and in a timely manner.



2. Effective management of the organization's end user hardware.


  • Develop and document procedures for installation, configuration, and maintenance of standard desktop, laptop, and tablet devices for mergers and acquisitions.

  • Analyze desktop and laptop systems performance indicators to ensure system(s) are operating efficiently.

  • Develop and document procedures for asset management for mergers and acquisitions and work with the team to execute; monitor and improve dashboard to facilitate consistently accurate inventory.



3. Provide support to the Technology team.


  • Provide technical direction to the Service Desk team to solve problems that require an increased level of troubleshooting discipline, technology acumen, and creativity.



4. Maintain and expand knowledge base in area of expertise.


  • Understand the merger and acquisition process within Baker Tilly and the details of each transaction as it relates to workstations and user needs.

  • Research and evaluate new desktop engineering and application deployment technologies.

  • Attend courses to develop and maintain skills.




Qualifications:



  • Associate's degree in a field such as Computer Technology or related field. Certifications such as MCP, MCSE, or preferred.

  • Minimum two (2) years' experience with SCCM, PowerShell, patch management tools, Active Directory preferred.

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team effectively.

  • The ability to prioritize, be attentive to details, maintain confidentiality, and provide exceptional client service is required

  • Sound written and verbal communication skills necessary to effectively interface with all levels of Firm management, practitioners, clients, and other external business contacts.

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills are necessary.

  • A sense of urgency and a commitment to timely completion of projects. Attention to detail along with a commitment to quality and confidentiality.

  • Knowledge of Professional Services/Accounting software and business practices preferred but not required.



The compensation range for this role is $84,430.00 to $145,560. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
