The Sourcing Quality team consists of colleagues located in markets around the world.
This team supports Food, Consumables and Health & Wellness. This specific role is for Consumables, Health & Wellness Supplier Quality and is based in Bentonville, Arkansas.

This associate will be working with international and domestic markets/suppliers and will be representing Quality at origin and for our consumers worldwide.
The associate in the role will have the opportunity to expand and grow across categories and even across functional groups within Walmart.
What is unique about this role?
The associate in this role will work on projects from the very beginning of an item lifecycle (a mere idea or concept) until it is in our stores and purchased by Walmart shoppers. This includes:
Vetting potential suppliers who can partner with Walmart to manufacture our item(s)
Collaborating with suppliers to confirm their programs meet our quality standards
Partnering with suppliers and cross functional teams during commercialization
Working with our suppliers to maintain quality over the lifecycle of the item(s)
Owning Data Analysis and recommending action plans to improve overall Quality for our customers
The ability to learn about multiple departments and work with several stakeholders
Support the Walmart Private Brand business, from Diapers to Dog Food - where else can you get this exposure and experience?
Rarely can individuals get experience like this from beginning to end of the product life cycle.
Primary responsibilities/accountabilities for this role
Vetting potential suppliers to ensure they meet Walmart quality requirements.
Onboarding new suppliers into Walmart systems and processes.
Evaluating private brand items to confirm adherence to specifications.
Partnering with suppliers when product issues occur, initiating CAPAs and working with suppliers to find resolution.
This is a hands-on role. One day the associate may be reviewing supplier quality issues and the next day they could be visiting a supplier to tour facilities.
MUST-HAVES FOR THIS ROLE
Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Food Science, Data Analytics or related field (science, agriculture or hospitality focused)
Soft Skills: Flexibility, Can-do attitude, Team Player, Organization, Excellent Communication
NICE-TO-HAVES FOR THIS ROLE
Experience working in Food, Cosmetics, Pet Food, or Food Contact Manufacturing
Sourcing Quality Assurance Experience
Formal Training in IL6s methodologies, and/or Black Belt Certification
Power BI, and/or other Dashboard creation tools to analyze and effectively communicate large data sets to targeted audiences.

The annual salary range for this position is $60,000.00-$110,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:
