What you'll do...


Identifies energy savings opportunities by identifying underperforming refrigeration and HVAC systems at store-level; using complex data mining procedures in multiple systems to capture relevant information; creating performance metrics and tables; analyzing data; creating automated routines; initiating corrective responses; and responding to questions from operators and executives.


Furthers the development of design and purchasing improvements by researching and analyzing trends and anomalies in controls systems and mechanical equipment; reviewing operational data from numerous systems; identifying manufacturer's defects or opportunities; working through findings with internal and external parties (for example, Facilities Services, Design, Global, and Indirect Sourcing departments, as well as third party vendors and engineers); assisting in the development and design of corporate service and maintenance strategies; identifying operational trends (for example, run hours, equipment deterioration); and recommending improvements to maintenance programs, intervals, and schedules as well as preventative maintenance and continuous commissioning programs.


Conducts application analysis and design for users by reviewing business processes; documenting business requirements; researching potential solutions; making recommendations to meet customers' business objectives; writing process specifications; writing detailed checklists for change control implementations; writing project reports; recording results; and creating technical guides for store equipment.


Manages and oversees the process of providing product cold chain integrity by implementing building and equipment control strategies; working with internal and external parties in the determination and programming of Building and Automation Systems in order to achieve optimum levels of energy efficiency; identifying actual alarm conditions; improving equipment performance while reducing maintenance expense.


Responds to field requests from store management, construction managers, technicians, and executives to take corrective action in any of the energy systems (refrigeration, lighting, HVAC) by investigating the root-cause issue using the appropriate Building Control System combined with information from other systems and sources, and then developing and executing the appropriate correction.


Provides project management leadership and oversight to of asset replacement programs and infrastructure development projects; works internally to develop and execute programs that ensure assets are meeting business performance specifications; manages external contractors to oversee their results in the stores; works with external vendors to ensure equipment delivery, installation, and repair is performed per the statement of work.


Leads and participates in teams by using and sharing resources, information, and tools; determining customer needs and business priorities; coordinating and executing work assignments; providing advice, feedback, and support to ensure timelines and work quality are achieved; and modeling and helping others with how to adapt to change or new challenges.


Develops, communicates, and implements processes and practices to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; analyzing and applying information from multiple sources; monitoring progress and results; and identifying and addressing improvement opportunities.


Demonstrates, promotes, and supports compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by explaining, guiding, and demonstrating how to apply these in executing business processes and practices; implementing related action plans; and assisting management with correcting ethical and compliance issues and problems.

  • Operational Data Review: Experienced in reviewing and analyzing operational data from various systems to identify trends, anomalies, and manufacturer defects, contributing to the development of design and purchasing improvements in mechanical equipment and control systems.

  • Application Design and Documentation: Skilled in conducting application analysis by documenting business processes, writing detailed process specifications, and creating technical guides to align solutions with customer business objectives.

  • Building Automation and Control Systems: Knowledgeable in implementing building and equipment control strategies, including the programming of Building Automation Systems to enhance energy efficiency and ensure product cold chain integrity.

  • Project Management and Oversight: Demonstrated ability to lead asset replacement programs and infrastructure development projects, managing external contractors and vendors to ensure compliance with business performance specifications and successful execution of project deliverables.

  • Building Control Systems Expertise: Extensive experience with building control systems such as Honeywell, Novar, Copeland, Emerson, and CPC, focusing on their application in refrigeration and HVAC systems to optimize energy efficiency and operational performance.

  • Asset Performance Management: Proven track record in monitoring and evaluating asset performance, utilizing data analysis to identify areas for improvement, recommend enhancements, and implement strategies that extend the lifecycle and efficiency of refrigeration and HVAC equipment.solutions that support building automation and environmental controls.

The hourly wage range for this position is $26.00-$51.00*

*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
