For an interstate pipeline, provide a variety of analytical services that support and promote the Business Management department, including but not limited to analysis in the following areas: Financial (forecast support), Invoicing, Contracts, Regulatory and systems/IT (reporting and system user). The Senior Analyst-Business Process will act as a first-line resource for Business Process Analysts.
**May be filled as Analyst Business Process or Sr. Analyst Business Process based on qualifications of successful candidate.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of five (5) years' work experience as an analyst with reporting, invoicing, or natural gas pipeline system functionality design and testing may be accepted as a substitute for a degree.
EXPERIENCE/SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE:
• With a degree, minimum one (1) year experience as an analyst, or in a role involving significant invoicing, reporting, or project management work.
• General understanding of how corporate policies, procedures, practices, and processes relate to multiple business segments and internal and external customers/clients.
• Intermediate proficiency level in MS Office applications that may include but are not limited to Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, MS Teams, SharePoint, Power BI and Outlook.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers (for travel).

COMPENSATION:
The salary range is $64,000-$82,000 annually.

Market Analysis & Reporting:
Prepare a summary of daily fundamentals and industry updates.
Review and report activity on connecting and competing interstate natural gas pipelines; force majeure, Open Seasons, Critical Items, new projects.
Maintain daily index pricing database.
Create and maintain/coordination with IT for Power BI Account Director dashboard.
Prepare summary and variance analysis reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
May monitor pricing activity and trends to evaluate park and loan opportunities.
Produce various market analysis and shipper ad hoc tools as needed.
Prepare and review monthly cash out index rate analysis.
Prepare presentation materials and participate in customer visits.
Invoicing:
Role of pipeline closer coordinating the inter-departmental close responsibilities for monthly invoicing process.
Enter and validate Max Tariff, Discount and Negotiated rates into the gas pipeline management system.
Gather support and respond to questions related to quarterly and annual SOX testing.
Participate in monthly closing process, validating charges and validating system accuracy. May include some review of shipper invoices.
Accounting:
Interact with Accounting to track and collect Accounts Receivable.
Communicate revenue to operational accounting to ensure proper entries and accruals.
Prepare intercompany invoice for 858 capacity.
Review and code month 3rd party transport (858) transportation invoices.
Regulatory:
to Interact with the Regulatory Department to thoroughly understand and apply rates to approved interstate gas transportation and storage services, routine rate changes, bill charges associated with regulatory filings.
Produce various reports and/or data for Regulatory filings, support of inquiries and rate cases.
Information Systems (User):
Actively use natural gas pipeline management system to source data for shipper analysis, contracting and invoicing.
Work with IT as needed to develop reports and dashboards to meet departmental needs.
Write specifications, develop detailed test cases, create and execute test plans and provide feedback to IT for changes/additions to natural gas pipeline management system.
Monitor progress on commercial management goals and work with Account Directors as needed to accomplish goals.
Complete special projects, annual objectives and other duties as assigned.
Assist and mentor the Analyst-Business Process.
Assemble, analyze and present information from various databases/datasets.
Thoroughly understand and apply appropriate business practices, rules of operation (Tariff) and rates to respective interstate natural gas rate schedules.
Data requests as needed. These requests include those from Corporate, Regulatory, Accounting Internal Audit and Management.
Understand physical operations of interstate gas pipeline and incorporate into sound business recommendations.
Effectively communicate issues which impact customers, financials and the goals of Business Management and Commercial Teams.
Routinely evaluates monthly processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
Infrequent but occasional travel (sometimes overnight) across a reasonable geographic region may be required.
