Position Overview: The key responsibilities of this position are outside sales of propane gas to residential, commercial and farm accounts from initial contact through to delivery, which may include tank setting and service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Include but are not limited to
Deliver propane to customer locations in an efficient, punctual and safe manner
During daily interaction with customers, provide exceptional customer service by supplying service information and answering inquires
Build customer base within sales territory by utilizing various sales techniques, including prospecting (cold calls)
Prepare and maintain records in accordance with regulations and company procedures
Operate truck in accordance to established safety procedures
Perform installation, removal and service as needed
Provide back up to Energy department as needed
Skills and Qualifications:
Acceptable driving record and able to obtain Class A or B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements
Proficient computer skills
Proficient verbal and written communication skills
Detail oriented and ability to prioritize
Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent
Outside sales experience and territory knowledge is a plus
Physical Requirements:
Ability to walk 1 to 5 miles, climb steps/ ladders and lift up to 75lbs
