The Lifeguard is responsible for upholding all aquatic facility policies, rules and regulations as well as recognizing and responding quickly and effectively in emergencies.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Monitor pool and pool users at all times, ensure users are safe and no hazards are present.
Uphold all aquatic facility policies, rules and regulations.
Recognize and respond quickly to any emergencies that may arise.
Assist with the opening and closing of the pool as needed.
Assumes additional responsibilities as required.
WHAT EDUCATION AND SKILLS YOU WILL NEED
High School Diploma
At least 1-3 years of experience and a valid Lifeguarding Certification from either the American Red Cross or other national organization certification in lifeguarding, first aid and CPR/AED for the professional rescuer.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work with ethnically, culturally, and socially diverse students, staff, faculty, and other constituencies.
Envisions and proposes new methods to perform tasks that support ET&A; takes thoughtful risks; and accepts new and ongoing initiatives, objectives, and solutions to gain sought-after results.
Anticipates and embraces change; demonstrates willingness to achieve, acquire, and utilize new skills and challenging tasks; and is flexible in changing conditions.
HOW AND WHERE YOU WILL WORK
Must be able to work early mornings, evenings and weekends
