Material Handling Coordinator Position Summary:
The Material Handling Coordinator will support the Molding business unit and be responsible for counting, issuing, staging, packaging, and storing of raw materials, sub components, finished goods, and supplies. This position will be required to help train new employees.
1st Shift: 6:30am-3pm Mon-Fri
Responsibilities
Material Handling Coordinator Responsibilities:
Count, inspect, issue, and stage material for production jobs
Train & mentor new employees
Count verification activities and inventory reconciliation
Perform inventory movement including storing raw materials in ERP based locations
Organize and cycle count raw material, sub components, finished goods, and supplies
Assist in other warehouse areas when required
Operate: Computer systems, scanning equipment, electronic scales, forklift, and other moving equipment
Adhere to all safety policies; including wearing personal protective equipment when required
Support and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements
Read, understand, and follow work instructions and standard work
Partner with other business segments: sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance
Understand customer needs and the core business markets we serve
Ensure business systems are implemented, maintained, and functioning properly
Participate in required company meetings
Maintain an organized work area (5S)
Participate in the Operational Excellence Program
Complete all other work duties as assigned
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
Qualifications
Material Handling Coordinator Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
3 years of material handling experience
3 to 5 years experience utilizing an ERP system to track inventory movements throughout a facility
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, around machinery that may be exposed to and around oils & solvents
Ability to read, comprehend, follow, and document work instructions, standard operating procedures, and training documents
Mechanical Aptitude
Dexterity and hand and eye coordination
Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
Attention to detail
Organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
Ability to prioritize and multitask
