This position is responsible for supervising production team members to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with all company policies. The Production Supervisor works closely with management to achieve departmental objectives, takes accountability for daily operations, and maintains a positive and productive team environment. This role is ideal for a team-oriented individual who leads by example, supports continuous improvement, and fosters a safe and compliant work atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and guide production team members to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals.
Enforce adherence to all human resource policies, food safety and sanitation protocols, and safety regulations.
Collaborate with management to achieve departmental objectives and implement process improvements.
Complete necessary documentation and reports accurately and in a timely manner.
Requirements:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Knowledge of production operations, techniques, food safety, product yields, and USDA regulations.
Computer Skills: Basic computer proficiency for data entry and reporting.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills; bilingual skills are helpful.
Travel: Minimal travel required.
Supervisory Skills: Experience in leading teams and overseeing various production tasks.
Special Skills: Leadership, problem-solving, and experience with special projects.
Additional Requirements: Good attendance and a strong safety record. Technical skills and experience with Tyson-specific documentation are a plus.
