You will be responsible for providing administration support for the Construction and Engineering (C&E) product. This is an exciting time to join the team as we are building up to help us grow within the US.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Process New Business Submissions.

·       Enter and maintain information with various in-house underwriting systems and generate various reports as required.

·       Preparation of quotes and invoices in the underwriting system as directed by underwriters.

·       Timely processing of Policy/Endorsements onto the underwriting system.

·       Liaise with underwriters and brokers as well as other internal departments as required.

·       Accountable for the maintenance of underwriting files in an orderly and consistent manner and in accordance with the underwriting guidelines, including filing and scanning of underwriting documents.

·       Corresponding with brokers with respect to all administrative issues, including chasing premium; final contract value adjustments and outstanding underwriting information.

·       Supporting the departmental Vice President by producing regular Management Information and reports as required.

·       Other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications

 

·       Two-year degree with focus on insurance or customer service would be preferable.

·       Five years insurance experience in a similar role preferable.

·       Must be highly articulate, with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills – required for significant liaison with clients, brokers, other teams within Allied World and building strong working relationships.

·       Advanced working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.

·       Methodical approach to work, strong organization skills; capable of dealing with tight reporting deadlines and conflicting priorities.

·       Good attention to detail and quantitative skills.

·       Ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative manner.

·       Willingness to work outside normal office hours as may be required.
