SUMMARY
Stampede Ventures, Inc., a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified Superintendent at Ft. Bragg, NC. SVI was awarded a five-year SATOC for general construction.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.
Superintendent will be under the General Supervision of the Project Manager, will review the schedule, coordinate on-site workforce, conduct weekly meetings, and submit reports.
Coordinates, supervisors, manages, on-site personnel and subcontractor work.
Supervises and perform on-site work to ensure the project meets the schedule.
Coordinates the material subcontractor(s) and suppliers' requirements with the Project Manager.
Inspects the work of each trade and confirm that not only the quality of the work is up to standard, but that the work is being built in accordance with the plans and specification.
Ensures that the project maintains the required schedule by organizing, planning, monitoring, and inspecting work.
Prepares daily progress reports for work performed.
Maintains and enforce safety regulations and building code requirements.
Ensures that all work is performed in a safe manner and may serve as the site Safety Representative.
Organizes and run weekly safety meetings within house trade staff and subcontractor(s).
Directs, manages, supervises, work with and coordinate the activities of the various trade groups such as Carpenters, Laborers, Equipment Operators, etc. and Subcontractors on the site to meet the work requirements as described in the plans and specifications or the statement of work on the individual delivery order(s) or Contracts.
Coordinates with the Project Manager or General Manager to ensure that the work progresses according to the schedule, that materials and equipment are delivered to the site on time, that the subcontractor(s) are on the project when required and progress in accordance with the schedule, and that the activities of the various workers do not interfere with one another.
Works with the tools and assists with the coordination between the subcontractor(s), in house workforce and material suppliers.
Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum) Qualifications
At least five years as QCM and SSHO with specific construction experience.
High School or equivalent
Ability to pass applicable pre-employment drug screen
Physically fit to perform the required duties
Good driving record
CQM for Contractors Certification
OSHA 30
First Aid / CPR
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures
Preferred
Minimum 5-years of experience performing Supervisory duties.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Job is performed both indoors/outdoors. When working outdoors; you may be exposed to constant exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, and/or loud noises when outside.
Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervision of all staff on site performing construction activities including safety oversight, contract compliance, scheduling, etc.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
