Our site in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a Lead Mold Technician to join our team.
HOURS FOR THIS POSITION ARE FIRST SHIFT
This role is a critical part of the Tooling team that is responsible for building mold inserts and mod base configuration used in production of device tray and main line products.
What you'll do:
Build tool insert configurations and set up mold bases
Tear down and clean molds and insets
Print Reading and interpretation.
SAP knowledge
Microsoft Office knowledge
Ability to use hand tools including calipers, air impact wrench, microscopes and other hand tools
Experience grinding insert, and pins
Wiring of DME controls systems in Molds
Replacement of Thermocouples, Heaters and Components of Molds
Responding to calls on floor and performing repairs while mold still in press, diagnosing issues at hand
PM level 3 of mold bases and insets
Ability to operate a crane
Ability to follow the build schedule
Ability to follow and understand the Bill of Materials
Effective communication with cell team members and support the main tool room employees
Completes miscellaneous tasks as assigned in support of the larger organization and production goals.
Actively participates in problem solving with engineers, PTs, and set-up techs to resolve production issues
Mentors and trains Mold Technicians
Coordinates team activities, sets daily expectations for safety, quality and scheduling
Works on moderately difficult assignments
Work is done with a significant degree of independence under general supervision
Completes work that is increasingly diverse and requires greater levels of judgement
May act as team leader or informal team leader
May assist in providing day to day direction to others in a routine manner
Contacts are typically with individuals in own organization
May or may not have external contacts that involve obtaining or providing information on matters of moderate importance to the organization and may be of a sensitive nature
What We Seek:
5- 10 years’ experience and can work independently
Strong Knowledge of methods and practices
Understands policies and procedures to complete routine tasks
Ability to read and understand work instructions and perform math computations and computer data entry.
Organizational and planning skills, communication skills and ability to adapt to workforce, work environment and customer needs.
Highly sophisticated skills and in-depth knowledge of the job
Solid working knowledge of technical, operative or administrative methods and practices
Requires the ability to develop and resolve solutions to a variety of problems of limited to moderate scope
Drives partnerships across departments, involving stakeholders who will be impacted; proactively shares solutions that could positively impact other areas
Leads with tenacity and humility - holds team accountable for delivering on quality and to specification; leads with compassion, stamina and relentless focus; takes ownership for mistakes made by self and/or the team; reinforces how the teams work is related to the success of Entegris.

Compensation is $45 to $50 HR.
