Customer insight - Gather customer-driven insights directly from existing customers and prospects to help drive product differentiation. Create industry and solution-focused use cases.
Competitive intelligence - Build competitive intelligence briefs against key solution competitors, enabling sales to have strategic guidance on how to compete during a sales cycle with sales battle cards. This information should also feed marketing messaging.
Market opportunities - Understand market trends, customer requirements, usage and buying behavior, and the partner ecosystem to better identify market opportunities and customer demand.
Product awareness - Educate the market about AVI-SPL's offerings through collateral such as brochures, sales sheets, white papers, workshops, presentations, website content, and technical blogs, driving views of that content.
Demand generation - Develop product marketing strategies to acquire net new customers and to expand the scope of solutions and services sold to existing customers.
Category leadership - Develop key market-leading initiatives to help differentiate AVI-SPL as a market leader in its category on a global scale by launching innovative product marketing campaigns and driving an insight-led strategy.
Qualifications
5-7 years of experience in product marketing and related marketing functions in the technology or construction industry, preferably within an area of enterprise IT.
Management experience, with an emphasis on leadership, and engaging global and local stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related area; MBA is a plus.
Ability to understand and articulate technical concepts and translate these into compelling, commercial, customer-focused communications.
Uses data to measure and optimize results, and to inform decision-making and strategy development.
Experience in presenting product marketing plans and concepts at the executive level.
Strong understanding of all elements of the product marketing process.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with diverse teams.
Comfortable speaking in front of an audience either virtually or in person.
Proven track record of building and executing marketing plans and staying focused on "getting it done" in a fast-moving environment.
Proven experience being self-directed and working with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated experience building credibility with and delivering results for product teams, sales teams, and customers.
