Earlham College is a top-ranked liberal arts college looking for an Admissions Counselor to join a team dedicated to transforming the lives of students. The Admissions Counselor will develop and execute an effective strategy to recruit first-year students from an assigned geographic territory. The most important component of job success, among multiple priorities, is meeting enrollment targets for that territory.
Specific duties:
Serve as a collaborative member of the admission team managing a recruitment territory to achieve enrollment goals for the College
Provide excellent customer service by reaching out to and responding to prospective students and parents via phone, text message, letters, email, videoconference and scheduled appointments
Review applications for admission and scholarship
Conduct admission presentations and interviews for visitors on and off-campus
Advise students and families of admission requirements, process guidelines, financial aid, scholarship information, academic programs, residence life, etc
Complete routine reports related to recruitment, projections, personal schedule, travel, special programs, and professional development
Work with current students, staff, faculty, alumni and other stakeholders that support the recruitment of students
Use data to evaluate program effectiveness, assess outcomes, and develop improved programming to achieve goals
Weekend and evening responsibilities are expected
Contribute to the overall success of the enrollment program and the university by performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree is required.
Valid Driver's License
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and as a member of a team, excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills are essential
Comfortable with standard and complex technology and software
Preferred qualifications:
Experience working in an Admission Office or in Higher Ed at a small, residential, liberal arts college
Experience using Slate or other CRM software
