Job Summary:

Assist students at the front counter and on the phone. Respond to student emails. Make adjustments to financial aid packages and complete paperwork submitted by students. Make in-person and virtual presentations to prospective students both on and off campus and represent the office at orientation. Perform work in ways that contribute to the university's successful achievement of enrollment goals.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Assist students with questions about the financial aid process, their awards and general financial aid questions at the front counter, via phone, and email.

  • Assist in monitoring the various office email boxes and answering student questions.

  • Adjust student cost of attendance budgets, make awards, disburse aid, and review other exception reports as assigned.

  • Make presentations to prospective students and parents as well as current students at various UTA sponsored events

  • Present financial aid information during orientation.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree. with one (1) year of administrative experience.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with Microsoft Office products.

  • Experience using PeopleSoft Campus Solutions or other automated student information system.

  • One (1) year experience with administering financial aid programs.

  • Excellent customer service.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:



  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to present information to groups in a concise and clear manner.
