The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from: $101,404 - $126,755
Qualifications:
Education: BS/BA Degree in Business, Computer Science or other technical discipline preferred. Will consider additional years of relevant experience and/or related technical certifications in lieu of degree requirement (in accordance with the FLSA Computer Professionals Exemption)
Education and Experience Requirements: Meet at least one of the following:
12+ years technical experience
AS Technical Related Degree with 10+ years' technical experience.
BS Technical Related Degree with 6+ years' technical experience
MS Technical Related Degree with 3+ years' technical experience
Experience:
Position requires a minimum of two (2) years' experience working with infrastructure solutions in an enterprise environment. Position requires professional experience with more than one of the following areas:
Infrastructure Operational Policies & Procedures, UNIX Operating Systems (OS), Linux OS, Microsoft OS, Active Directory, VMware, Citrix, Networking, Routing, Firewalls, Security tools and/or scripting. (Associated certifications are preferred.)
Purpose:
Definition: maintenance and support of Operational Smart Grids (OSG) infrastructure operational policies, standards, best practices, procedures, tools, and projects in support of efficient, resilient, and secure operations of OSG supported systems, applications, and facilities.
Works with technical teams and external vendors to provide operational support for a diverse set of operational enterprise services. Monitor operational performance to identify opportunities for improvement. Align the operational requirements with relevant global/corporate operational requirement(s), security framework(s) and/or associated regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities :
Provide timely responses to all incidents, tasks and requests as assigned.
Work with internal clients, suppliers/contractors, project teams and other technical staff to support technical solutions.
Provide maintenance of infrastructure technologies following the change management process.
Provide support for physical and virtual infrastructure, including all existing physical and virtual systems, installation of additional systems, patching, maintenance, and upgrades.
Participate in the technical implementation of infrastructure technologies.
Participate in the evaluation, selection, and testing of hardware and software products.
Participate in the maintenance of regulatory compliance under NERC/CIP guidelines.
Participate in the maintenance of high-quality security controls surrounding the critical SCADA systems.
Perform special assignments from Platform Services Manager.
Provide 24x7 on call support.

Key Technical Working Skills :
Working knowledge of:
Microsoft Windows server and desktop operating systems.
Virtual infrastructure including VMware.
Active Directory.
Windows update processes and tools.
Fundamental understanding of Linux or Unix operating systems is a plus.
Fundamental understanding of network standards is a plus.
Ability to deal collaboratively, diplomatically, and successfully with customers, co-workers and other professional colleagues, managers, and staff.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as work independently with limited supervision.
Demonstrate problem-solving skills while providing first class customer service.
Demonstrate good communication skills both written and orally.
