Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a Construction industry client located in Medford, MA that is in search of an Assistant Controller to join their team. The Assistant Controller reports to the Corporate Controller of this $50M family-run Construction Services company and will manage day-to-day accounting operations. This company offers bonus, dental/vision, and great employee culture. This position can either be fully on-site or hybrid (at least d3 days/week on-site).

Duties:

• Oversee the financial activities of the company, GL, AR, Invoicing, AP, fixed assets, and payroll


• The Assistant Controller will ensure accurate Financial reporting and financial statements and will liaison with external audit firms to manage audits


• General ledger and financial reporting


• Inventory management


• Coordinate internal and external audits


• Balance sheet reconciliations


• Cash management


• Team Leadership (supervising a direct report)

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting


• 5 years of experience, preferably in public accounting or construction


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• Supervisory skills


• Software - Microsoft Office, proficiency with Excel

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
