Interns will have the opportunity to participate in the annual three-day summer intern event in Des Moines, Iowa where they will have the opportunity to tour state-of-the-art facilities, network with leadership, and gain a broader understanding of MidAmerican Energy Company. Other panels, lunch and learns, and events will be happening throughout the summer to give our interns the best experience.

Responsibilities:
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities

Collecting and Curating Job Aids: Gather and organize existing job aids for new managers, ensuring they are up-to-date and relevant.

Creating a SharePoint Site: Develop a comprehensive SharePoint site with multiple pages to house a variety of training materials and supplements for a manager toolkit, ensuring ease of navigation and accessibility.

Video Editing and Creation: Edit and produce short tutorial videos to accompany job aids, using video editing software and effective design principles to ensure high-quality output.

Interpersonal Communication: Communicate effectively with various stakeholders across business units to gather current materials and support the creation of new job aids, ensuring all content meets the needs of the audience.

Technology Utilization: Leverage advanced technology skills, particularly with Microsoft Office products, to enhance the quality and efficiency of the project.

Branding and Graphic Design: Apply branding and graphic design skills to align all materials with our corporate communications branding guidelines, ensuring a consistent and professional look.

Instructional Design: Use the Articulate Storyline program and understanding of content creation principles to aid in developing engaging and effective eLearning courses.

Other Duties: Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.

Qualifications:
Skills for Success

Strong technical skills in web development and content management, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Experience and expertise in creating and managing SharePoint sites, ensuring they are user-friendly and well-organized, considering accessibility and branding requirements as well as the overall user experience.

Proficiency in video editing software to create high-quality tutorial videos.

Skills in graphic design to ensure all materials are visually appealing and aligned with corporate branding.

Familiarity with Articulate Storyline and instructional design principles to create effective LMS courses.

Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and team members.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.

Qualifications

Must be a college student, sophomore or higher standing, currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Human Resources, Education, Information Technology, Communications, Web Development, Marketing, or a related field.
