What you'll be doing:

  • Demonstrate strong leadership by providing guidance and mentorship to all members of the application development team
  • Direct the development of software solutions, leveraging individual and team strengths within the Microsoft Development stack
  • Drive the establishment of coding standards, conduct code reviews, and implement best practices throughout the software development life cycle
  • Drive technical leadership in enhancing build processes, optimizing test automation frameworks, and implementing continuous integration practices to streamline software delivery and quality assurance processes
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the team, fostering the delivery of cutting-edge solutions to meet internal and external customer needs
  • Interface with managers, product managers, and business partners to align solutions with organizational objectives
  • Lead collaborative design sessions to architect data structures, web components, and services, focusing on optimal coding techniques and solution efficiency
  • Collaborate with the Architect - Emerging Technologies, and other major business constituents to strategically advance solutions in the portfolio and ensure they leverage the best available technologies and practices
  • Ensure transparent communication of project status to various stakeholders and internal teams, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration
  • Utilize the development team to resolve issues in an expedited manner and make appropriate changes to prevent future occurrences
  • Support and empower help desk staff through training, tools and documentation to enhance end-user support capabilities
  • Maintain thorough documentation of new programs and updates, actively participating in change management processes
  • Possess strong Scrum master skills to step in when needed, facilitating agile ceremonies, promoting teamwork, and addressing impediments to support successful project outcomes and team efficiency

What you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or IT related field
  • Prior experience as a senior software engineer or technical architect with minimum 3 years in a leadership role, demonstrating talent development and team management.
  • Proven track record in recruiting diverse talent and identifying growth opportunities for team members; experience in delegating responsibilities effectively.
  • Experience handling complex situations with professionalism and integrity; ability to resolve conflicts effectively and formulate strategic solutions
  • Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills; ability to foster an inclusive environment where team members feel valued and empowered
  • Solid understanding of web-based technologies and software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum), along with experience in managing software projects.
  • Proven ability to prioritize high-impact tasks and deliver results consistently; adept at organizing work to meet project deadlines.
  • Strong desire to stay at the forefront of emerging technologies and trends, continuously seeking opportunities to implement cutting-edge solutions
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellence and continuous improvement; leads by example and motivates others to give their best effort
  • Strong ability to set clear expectations and hold team members accountable; track record of delivering quality results and exceeding standards.
