Summary
The Manager of Ipsen Customer Service (ICS) Retrofits will be charged with leading a team of inside sales personnel to ensure the long-term serviceability of vacuum furnaces used in the aerospace, medical, and other key industries. As the leader of the Retrofit Sales team, the Manager of the Ipsen Customer Service Retrofits group will ensure timely responses to customers, negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions, manage customer expectations, and drive strategic and tactical changes to evolve the organization. This role ensures strong communication with Regional Sales Owners, Regional Service Managers, ICS department managers and executive leadership. High levels of communication and strategic planning with the ICS management team will be key to building the Ipsen Customer Service brand.
EssentialDuties andResponsibilities
Develop and implement overall strategy to improve the overall operability of the ICS Retrofits Group.
Sets annual financial objective for retrofits group and works to ensure all financial targets are met, to include bookings, sales, margin, and EBITDA.
Leads a group of team members overseeing the core functions of retrofits, to include project management, mechanical retrofits, electrical retrofits, and hot zones.
Establishes annual KPIs and mentors and successfully leads the Retrofits team to achieve objectives as assigned on an annual basis.
Work to streamline Retrofits proposal pricing and technical structure for a repeatable, consistent, timely and professional presentation.
Collaborates with sales, marketing, engineering, manufacturing, and operations to respond to customer requests and market opportunities.
Collaborate with engineering and operations to reduce lead times and improve product flow.
Drive continuous improvement efforts and implement new and improved ways of doing business.
Interface with customer regarding routine and critical requests, manages their expectations, and ensues satisfaction from the request for quote to shipment of the retrofit.
Ensure timely turnaround of all quoting activity within the retrofits team.
Hires, mentors and, if needed, administers performance counseling to direct reports. Ensures direct reports possess needed skills and knowledge to successfully perform essential duties.
Maintain a high level of professionalism in the workplace and while representing the company in the community, at customer meetings, trade shows, presentations, and events.

Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, domestically and internationally as needed.

Knowledge of vacuum furnaces preferred, but not required.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, marketing, or technical discipline required.
Master's degree in business, engineering, marketing, or technical discipline preferred.
2+ years of related experience in sales, product management or related technical field is required.
Experience driving and implementing change in an organization preferred.
5+ years experience leading/managing teams in a commercialized work environment.
Experience managing departmental P&L preferred.
Experience preparing sales budgets, projections, and approving expenditures preferred.
