Responsibilities
Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
Assist in client and sub-consultant contact and communication.
Attend client meetings and, occasionally, present information - may require occasional travel and an overnight stay.
Assist in the analysis of reports, maps, drawings, soil reports, survey data, and aerial photographs to plan and design projects.
Perform design computations and project design specifications for specific system components for overall design efforts.
Prepare probable construction cost estimates for your projects.
Assist in the preparation or modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, permits, and designs.
Review construction site to monitor progress and other duties per the contract documents.
Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
Responsible for job specific and/or assigned project team quality system tasks, as defined in the Quality Assurance / Quality Control guidelines.
Independently perform engineering assignments with clear and specified objectives and involving types of plans, surveys, investigations, structures or equipment.
Supervise or coordinate the work of designers and others who assist in specific assignments.
To understand the concepts of roadway design
To understand surveying and basic engineering terminology
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university
EIT Certification or passing the FE Exam within 6 months of start
2-3 years of experience in the field or a related area
Microstation and/or AutoCAD.
ArcGIS is a bonus.
Valid driver’s license
