Description: Our client is currently seeking a CLINICAL PHARMACIST to their team in Indiana
Scope of Role:
Title: Remote Pharmacist (Prior Authorization)
Location: Remote must be licensed in state of residence (Indiana)
Type of Engagement: Contract to hire (Based on performance, contract for 6 months)

This job will have the following responsibilities:
Decisioning and processing member prescriptions or prior authorizations through various computer systems ensuring the accuracy of all data and updating as necessary
Perform all duties and functions in compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations
Conform with and supports department quality assurance and improvement guidelines

Organize workload, sets priorities, completes assignments in a timely manner and utilizes resources appropriately while complying with department program standards
Gather complex clinical information, coverage policy and criteria information and work within regulatory guidelines to make coverage determinations
Consult with pharmacy technicians and/or physicians regarding use of medications and advise of appropriate formulary alternatives when requested.
Consult physicians/providers with questions, interpret clinical guideline criteria, and render/review coverage determination for prior authorization cases
Work is computer based and include receiving phone calls from prior authorization pharmacy technicians and/or providers for clinical information
Qualifications & Requirements:
Pharmacist License in the state of residence
Excellent Attendance is a must
Candidate must have level skill with working with PC (ex. using mouse and keyboard, accessing and navigating through multiple systems and screens)
Candidate must also have a secure workspace/office in their home
Candidate must have their own home internet access/VPN (internet can be hard wired with Ethernet cord)
Hours:
Training is for 4 weeks. No time off at all during training. Training time will either be 8:00am-5:00pm Monday- Friday or 10:30am-7pm Monday-Friday. This training time is subject to change.
Shift after training will likely be 10:30am-7pm EST Monday-Friday. Subject to change.
There is scheduled Overtime and working on Holidays. Dependent on business needs, candidate could work up to 4 hours a day OT.
