The RN Supervisor will oversee nursing staff and provide high-quality care to our residents, ensuring that all clinical standards and regulations are met. Clinical Oversight: Supervise and support nursing staff in the delivery of resident care, ensuring adherence to all clinical standards, policies, and procedures.
Resident Care: Assess and monitor residents' conditions, implement physician orders, and oversee the administration of medications and treatments.
Staff Management: Lead, mentor, and provide guidance to the nursing team, assisting with training, scheduling, and performance evaluations as needed.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that nursing care is provided in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as facility policies. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident care and outcomes.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including rehabilitation, social services, and dietary, to ensure a comprehensive approach to resident care.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident assessments, care plans, and nursing interventions in compliance with regulatory and facility requirements.
Crisis Management: Respond to emergencies, incidents, and changes in resident status in a timely and professional manner. Provide guidance and support during urgent situations.
Family Communication: Communicate effectively with residents' families regarding care plans, changes in condition, and treatment outcomes to ensure understanding and satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, BSN, or higher).
Licensure/Certification: Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as an RN in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting. Supervisory experience preferred.
Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to handle complex clinical situations and prioritize tasks efficiently.
Physical Requirements: Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including lifting, standing, and walking.
