View Point Health Adolescent Crisis Stabilization Program is a short-term, 24/7 residential crisis unit located in Decatur, Ga. The Crisis Stabilization program provides psychiatric crisis intervention and stabilization services to adolescents, 14-17 years of age. We are looking for a masters level Behavioral Health Clinician to join our multi-disciplinary team as an Admissions Clinician to provide screening/review of referrals for admission and assessment of psychiatric/addictions risk/needs of individuals referred for care. We provide person-centered care and assist with implementing our unit programming based on Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
Under general supervision, performs psychosocial assessments, treatment planning/monitoring and discharge planning. Provides counseling/therapy to clients requiring complex intervention. Performs commitment determinations and/or executes orders of involuntary commitments.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide screening and review of potential referrals for admission. Complete comprehensive assessment with new admissions. Assembles, analyzes, and interprets new/updated assessment information about the consumer to assess treatment needs. Requests initial and concurrent treatment authorizations within required time frames. Identifies unmet needs, reviews available resources, and develop/modifies the treatment plan as indicated. Answers and screens telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner. Determines the callers needs. Provides clear and correct information to the caller about routine processes for admission and within the facility. Refers other calls to the appropriate staff members. Alerts other staff if the call is of an emergency nature. Takes clear, accurate and complete telephone messages and routes them to appropriate staff. Greets clients and other visitors promptly and courteously. Determines their needs, responds to their routine questions, and secures any necessary information. Directs them to correct locations. Assists with calculating census, ADA, monthly reports and quarterly data tracking. Prepares and sends outgoing documents, FAXs, e-mails, and other materials, according to established procedures and confidentiality regulations. Classifies, sorts, transfers and/or files records and other materials using standard procedures. Maintains the confidentiality of clinical record information. Secures appropriate releases of information, as needed. Accurately enters routine data into computer forms. Reviews and corrects data that appears inconsistent or erroneous.
This position will complete the following duties:
Answers the telephone and responds to email/fax regarding admission inquiries Monitor the BHL board for potential admissions Facilitate admissions to the facility Complete admissions documentation: consents, comprehensive assessment, suicide risk assessment, etc. Complete triage referrals logs, verify insurance coverage, complete prior and concurrent authorizations, ensures timely response to all calls Records accurate and clear information about referrals, registers and discharges individuals from program in the ECR and GCAL board, as appropriate. Research and/or responds to referral sources questions and other requests for information or assistance. Functions as the entry point for referrals to the program and makes an initial determination of the possibility of the caller's eligibility for services. Performs general administrative support for the unit such as scanning and uploading to ECR, filing, faxing, printing and general clerical work, as needed. Support direct care to meet ratio or due to acuity Maintains databases, logs, and other records of routine information. Compiles information from these sources and other data sources as necessary. Generates and distributes reports that are accurate and timely. Maintains organized and accessible filing system and follows confidentiality regulations regarding maintenance and release of file information. Other clinical support as assigned to include; groups, assessments, discharge planning, aftercare calls, treatment team meetings, etc.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university AND eligibility to be licensed AND Two years of supervised experience in the area of assignment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Fully licensed as a clinician in the state of GA. as an LPC or LCSW. At least two years of experience working with children and adolescents in an inpatient facility. Experience making verified diagnoses. Interventions, Diagnosing, Treatment Plans. Experience with Carelogic ECR. Experience with Care Logic or other EMR. Is comfortable and proficient with collaborative & concurrent documentation. Experience in trauma-informed care, or trauma related interventions and skills
Requirements/Competencies:
Must be able to lift 20 pounds. Requires long periods of sitting/standing. Must have valid Georgia drivers license and Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy Candidates for selection must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting). Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and subject to random drug screens. Any combination of training and experience, which would have enabled the applicant to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities Note: Some positions may require a valid driver's license. Other duties as assigned.
