The Intake Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and performing intake and patient care activities as directed by the attending Clinical Director. The Intake Supervisor acts as supervisor of all intake counselors and acts as a representative of treatment staff and observes all patient activity, maintains a visible presence of the patients at the treatment center and at outside activities. They will also circulate throughout the treatment center and alert to fire and safety hazards. Intake Supervisor is responsible for assisting in the daily therapeutic program for patients and for various administrative duties. The Intake Supervisor, hired in a dual role as Counselor Intern, will be responsible for assisting with providing group therapy, case management and assessments as requested by the Clinical Director. The intake supervisor will collaborate with the Treatment Team in the formulation of the Master Treatment Plan and assists in coordinating discharge planning.
Manages Intake CounselorsConducts chart audits for all intake assignments: QA/QI (making sure all is complete), Med Co-pay spreadsheet, KIPU audits, Salesforce auditsManages Intake Schedule: oversees coverage for vacation/ callouts and intake group scheduleAble to be On-Call/answer emails, as neededCommunicates and responds to work issues in a timely manner Able to enter data correctly and in a timely mannerOversees policy and procedure for the intake departmentDemonstrates knowledge of chemical dependency and addictions and utilizes knowledge and skills to access and meet the patients treatment needs and requirements.Documents as required in patient chart.Orients new patients to the facility.Instructs and confirms the companys rules/ regulations to new admissions and orients new patients to the facility. Conducts motivational and/or educational groups as directed by the Clinical Director and completes subsequent documentation in a timely manner.Ability to work as a team member, demonstrate maturity and objectivity under stress, and demonstrate good communication skills.Maintains understanding of patients rights per the Mental Health Code, upholds patients rights, reports abuse of patients rights immediately and assists patients with filing complaints, as needed.Participates in obtaining the patients informed consent for care coordination, procedures, treatments, and research, as appropriate.Acts decisively and effectively in managing staff, patients, and other employees during emergency situation.Conducts new patient orientation/admissions and instructs new patients in completing new admission packet.Under supervision of the Clinical Director, provides case management services and manages patient needs as they progress through the program.
