This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for :
Training, development and performance management of shift union personnel
Supervising approximately 20 direct labor personnel
Providing daily instruction and issue resolution/escalation on manufacturing floor
Monitoring high volume production lines and identify opportunities for improvement, determination of root cause and solution implementation
Participating and/or lead manufacturing projects linked to FDA readiness, project transfers into manufacturing from R&D and other projects as assigned.
Representing Manufacturing at a variety of functional meetings/events (Quality review boards, CAPA, etc.)
Applying production metrics to monitor and execute continuous improvement.

Implementing defined policies and guidelines, and define and ensure implementation of processes, procedures, methods and/or tools incorporating our Business Principles and the Healthineers Performance System
Ensuring adherence at any time to relevant internal and local EHS-standards
Managing and developing all the respective workflow processes to ensure all production targets (Quality, Quantity, and Delivery on time) are achieved
Ensuring availability of working instructions, rules, and guidelines for the production lines are assigned
Contributing to planning and implementation of production plans
Evaluating and contributing to implementation of maintenance programs
Overseeing assigned technologically demanding and complex processes in an automated production environment, which need a specialized, experienced and well vocationally trained work force
Providing tactical supervision of the DCA reagent assembly line
Achieving optimum productivity and quality of products
Ensuring staff compliance to all FDA, Federal, State and OSHA requirements
Ensuring staff compliance to all internal quality and operational processes
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution AND
5+ years of experience in a leadership role in a manufacturing/industrial environment
OR
Associates/Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution AND
2+ years of experience in a leadership role in a manufacturing/industrial environment
Experienced with root cause problem solving and lean manufacturing tools/practices
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools i.e. Excel, Power Point, Word
Preferred skills to have for the success of this role
Supervisory experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment, i.e. pharmaceuticals, medical devices or other industries governed by FDA, ISO standards
Experience working in a unionized environment
Experience and familiarity with MRP systems including previous experience looking up status of work and material; experience with SAP preferred
Previous experience working in a matrix organization including partnering with other functions (i.e. Engineering, Quality, Logistics) in a manufacturing environment to achieve optimal results
Ability to effectively communicate and escalate concerns and challenges as they arise
Knowledge of Federal, State and Corporate regulatory policies
