Job Description:

We are hiring for a Surveying Rodman to contribute to our land surveying projects on a full-time, direct basis in the Philadelphia, PA area.


We are searching for someone that is genuinely interested in building a career in Land Surveying - the ideal candidate has a teachable attitude to learn surveying methodologies, terms, and processes beyond what they already know: we want someone with an authentic desire to grow and expand their knowledge accordingly!



Primary Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to geodetic survey operations for a variety of land surveying projects.
  • Utilize relevant technologies & tools (including computer software programs, touch-screen devices, etc.).
  • Work independently and/or as part of a crew (depending on the project).
  • Work outdoors and perform physically demanding tasks during a variety of weather conditions.
  • Travel for work (as needed).
  • Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed.




Basic Requirements:

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent).



This person will be expected to work in the field, so they will be required to possess a Valid Driver's License and have a clean driving record (with the ability to pass a US-DOT Driver Check).


Additionally, this role will require passing client-required Alcohol and Drug Testing without issue.



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of relevant Surveying training.
  • Experience working with Surveying for Engineering and/or Planning projects; experience working in the consulting engineering & planning services industry is a plus!
  • Experience working in field-based roles with physically-demanding tasks.
  • Proven expertise with modern Survey methods / procedures, best practices, and technologies.
  • Proficiency with relevant technologies / tools (e.g.: Total Stations, Data Collectors, HDLS, GIS, etc.); experience with Trimble RTS (Robotic Total Stations), Trimble RTK GPS, and/or Leica RTC360 High-Definition Laser Scanning equipment is a plus!
  • Proficiency on all standard Microsoft Office software applications, especially with MS-Excel.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Strong attention-to-detail skills with the proven ability to work and solve problems with a high-level of accuracy.
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment as a Team Player with minimal supervision.
  • Proven ability to work in a self-motivated manner while effectively adapting to new situations, multi-tasking, and prioritizing multiple assignments.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
