SUMMARY:


This position is responsible for managing the maintenance and reliability of production equipment. Responsibilities include: assist with planning and implementing plant improvements and expansions; ensure that all maintenance personnel are well trained on the most updated version of operating equipment as well as other maintenance skills; provide a safe workplace and comply with all safety and regulated programs; monitor operation of plant equipment and systems constantly to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate and solve problems in a timely manner and identify immediate response issues; maintain a computerized maintenance management system (SAP) for tracking work orders adequate and confirm an appropriate inventory of replacement parts; make recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenance related problems through analyzing data; ensure that all maintenance personnel are motivated so maintenance programs and processes can be accomplished in a safe, timely and efficient manner; maintain a tracking system that assists in analyzing key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, PM compliance etc. Other duties include: ensure all maintenance personnel are in compliance with health and safety policies; monitor use of all parts, equipment materials and supplies utilized in the maintenance department; administer the maintenance budget and ensure the achievement of financial goals.


REQUIREMENTS:





  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.







  • Experience: 6 plus years maintenance experience.







  • FSQA familiarity a plus







  • Computer Skills: Standard computer skills.







  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; some public speaking skills.







  • Special Skills: Industrial Maintenance in fields such as electrical, refrigeration, hydraulics or mechanical.







  • Supervisory: Responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform similar or interrelated tasks.







  • Travel: 1-5 domestic trips per year.
