As a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team, the RN Clinical Nurse provides individualized, high-quality, and safe patient care to patients, families, and significant others. You will operate within a clinical environment led by Nurse Managers and supported by the WellStar Shared Governance Model. Your practice will be guided by the WellStar Professional Practice Model, 5-Star Nursing, and evidence-based practices.

Utilize the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, evaluation) to deliver evidence-based, individualized care.
Provide patient-centered care that considers age, gender, and cultural diversity.
Collaborate with patients and their families, keeping them informed and involved in care decisions.
Adhere to current clinical practice standards.
2. Teamwork and Collaboration (25%)
Coordinate safe, high-quality patient care through effective communication and timely documentation.
Promote a respectful and inclusive clinical environment, supporting recruitment and retention of team members.
Engage in performance improvement initiatives, research, and shared governance to enhance patient care.
3. Professional Development and Initiative (10%)
Complete all professional competency assessments and required education.
Serve as a mentor for new nurses and staff, fostering a qualified workforce and a healthy work environment.
4. Evidence-Based Practice and Research (5%)
Advocate for evidence-based practices and participate in value analysis for patient care products.
Uphold organizational policies and legal standards, including TJC Patient Safety Goals.
Engage in data collection and clinical inquiries to advance practice.
5. Resources and Support (5%)
Plan for patient care across the continuum and collaborate on developing protocols for best practice outcomes.
Ensure effective use of human and material resources.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
Diploma from an accredited nursing program or
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school (preferred).
Licensure/Certification:
RN (Single State) or Multi-State Compact
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of current experience in the specified area of practice.
Skills:
Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies effectively.
Excellent time management, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
National certification in an area of specialty upon hire.
